Organic Sweet Corn

Several ears of corn with green husks removed, laid out on a wooden table.

Did you know the Columbia Basin in Washington State is one of the best places in the U.S. to grow organic sweet corn? Thanks to its rich volcanic soil, long summer days, and access to pristine irrigation from the Columbia River, this region is like a five-star resort for corn!

Organic farmers here don’t use synthetic chemicals—instead, they rely on crop rotation, beneficial insects, and natural compost to keep their corn happy and healthy. Sweet corn is planted in late spring, and by mid-to-late summer, tall green stalks sway in the breeze, with ears ripening under the hot sun. Harvesting usually happens early in the morning when sugars are at their peak—because once it’s picked, the sweet flavor starts to fade!

The result? Crisp, juicy, organic sweet corn so good you’ll swear it came straight from the stalk to your plate.

After harvest, our sweet corn is immediately cooled using a hydro cooler, where chilled water rapidly removes field heat to lock in freshness and sweetness. This quick cooling process helps preserve the corn’s crisp texture and flavor. Once cooled, the ears are hand-packed into 48-count boxes, ensuring consistent quality and careful handling—perfect for fresh market distribution.
