Sustainability & Stewardship
Sustainable farming isn't a buzzword for us — it's crop rotation, cover cropping, and USDA-certified organic practices we've relied on since 2012 to keep our soil and our land healthy for the long run.
How We Farm
We rotate our crops every season and use mustard as a cover crop between plantings to naturally rebuild and protect our soil. Rather than asking the same ground to produce the same crop year after year, we let the land rest and recover through rotation — giving nutrients time to replenish and reducing the need for outside inputs. It's a practice that keeps our ground healthy year after year — the same land, farmed the right way, for five generations.
Crop Rotation
Our fields are irrigated by center pivots, drawing water from the canal system that feeds this region. We follow a set water schedule managed by our in-house irrigation crew, who fine-tune timing for each field based on what stage it's in — whether that's active growth, cultivation, cover cropping, harvest, or prep for the next planting. It's a hands-on approach that helps us avoid over- or under-watering, season after season.
Water & Irrigation
We manage pests and weeds through a mix of cover cropping, tillage, mechanical cultivation, and organic-approved spraying — using prevention as our first line of defense and only treating when it's truly necessary to protect the crop. Every field gets scouted and monitored, so decisions are based on what's actually happening in the ground, not a fixed schedule.
